Iceland

These Icelandic horses are something I have been longing to see for some time. In every image or representation, I have seen they seem as if they are moving in slow motion; their manes perfectly coursing through the air with nothing but the wind and their gallop as an artist. So striking and yet so graceful at the same time. With this particular mare, I was able to take pause and catch her peering at me, stock still with a look of demure on her face. She was coy and beautiful and the moment was fleeting as I captured her gaze before she returned wandering across the Icelandic countryside.
