In the chapel of Saint Blaise in Toledo, Spain the ceilings overhead arch high above casting shadows that project out across the room. Figures flank the door that leads to the tomb almost as if standing guard; protecting the man who was martyred. Although this is indeed a tomb, the colors and gentle light from within tell us differently. The images adorning the walls are soft and elegant with their many subtle shades, emanating a feeling of life rather than death, beckoning travelers forward, making none wary to enter the cloister.
