The true power of something can vary depending on what the object is. For a car, it’s the engine but for a horse, it’s their heart. Their heart wills them to take off in a walk, a trot, a gallop. In this moment I saw what the true meaning of “horse power” was as he raced across the white sand in a lightning flash. I can only imagine how he felt; salty air coursing through his mane, his body levitating for just a moment as his legs pushed him further and faster down the beach. True, and unbroken freedom if only for an instant.
